فلك العلا قد زفّ نجماً زاهرا

فلك العلا قد زفّ نجماً زاهرا

وغدا بسعدٍ في المنازل سائرا

وغدا بسعدٍ في المنازل سائرا

The sphere of glory has ushered in a radiant star,

The sphere of highness presented a shining star

And it now journeys auspiciously through the celestial stations.

And it travelled through the mansions with good omen

والشرق لاحت شمسه من قطبه

والشرق لاحت شمسه من قطبه

وعليه سرّ النور أصبح دائرا

وعليه سرّ النور أصبح دائرا

And the East’s sun has shone forth from its pole,

The sun of the East shone from its pole

And the mystery of light now revolves about him.

And the secret of light revolved around it

من مشرق الشرف العليّ وسدرة ال

من مشرق الشرف العليّ وسدرة ال

روض الجني من قد تسامى كابرا

روض الجني من قد تسامى كابرا

From the dawning-place of lofty honor and the lote tree of the

From the orient of the most high honor and the Lote-tree

Fruit-laden garden—he who has risen in greatness,

The garden of paradise had grown tall

المرتضي روض الرضا من قد نضا

المرتضي روض الرضا من قد نضا

بعليِّ عزمٍ سيفَ حزمٍ شاهرا

بعليِّ عزمٍ سيفَ حزمٍ شاهرا

Al-Murtada, the garden of contentment, who has drawn

Al-Murtada the garden of Al-Ridha who had matured

With lofty resolve the sword of prudence, brandishing it.

With the determination of Ali, the drawn sword of resolve

أعني فتى باز الإله ومن غدا

أعني فتى باز الإله ومن غدا

فينا بألحاظ الموهب ناظرا

فينا بألحاظ الموهب ناظرا

I mean the youth of God’s Falcon, and him who now

Namely the hero of God and one who became

Gazes upon us with the Bestower’s glances.

Looking at us with the glances of gift

فليهنَ مولانا الهناء بنجله

فليهنَ مولانا الهناء بنجله

فلقد أسرّ أكابراً وأصاغرا

فلقد أسرّ أكابراً وأصاغرا

So may joy gladden our master through his son,

So congratulations to our Master, happiness with his son

For he has delighted great and small alike.

For he had fascinated elders and youngsters

لم يبق في ذاك الحمى من غائبٍ

لم يبق في ذاك الحمى من غائبٍ

عن فضله إلّا ووافى الحاضرا

عن فضله إلّا ووافى الحاضرا

No one in that sanctuary remained away

None remained absent in that sanctuary

From his bounty: all came to meet the one present.

From his grace except one present

وفواتح السرّاء كان ختام أك

وفواتح السرّاء كان ختام أك

ؤسها بمسك الحمد فينا عاطرا

ؤسها بمسك الحمد فينا عاطرا

And joy’s beginnings—the seal of their cups was

And the openings of bliss, its conclusion was

Fragrant among us with the musk of praise.

Sealed with the musk of praise, fragrant among us

والسنة الغرّا تبشّر جمعَنا

والسنة الغرّا تبشّر جمعَنا

بالطهر حيث رأت ختاناً طاهرا

بالطهر حيث رأت ختاناً طاهرا

And the radiant Sunnah brings our gathering glad tidings

The noble year gives glad tidings to our gathering

Of purity, for it has witnessed a pure circumcision.

Of purity where it saw our immaculate one

يا صاح لو وافيت يوم موائد ال

يا صاح لو وافيت يوم موائد ال

أمداد أبصرت التصرّف ظاهرا

أمداد أبصرت التصرّف ظاهرا

O friend, had you come on the day of the tables of

O friend, had you attended the feast of supplies

Spiritual gifts, you would have seen power made manifest.

You would have seen the disposal clearly

أو قد حللت حماةَ في تاريخه

أو قد حللت حماةَ في تاريخه

وبحيّه شاهدت سرّاً باهرا

وبحيّه شاهدت سرّاً باهرا

Or had you alighted in Hama on its date,

Or you would have solved the riddle of its date

And in his quarter you would have witnessed a dazzling mystery.

And in his quarter seen an evident mystery

لا زال للدين الحنيفي ركنَه

لا زال للدين الحنيفي ركنَه

ولسنّة الإسلام دوماً ناصرا

ولسنّة الإسلام دوماً ناصرا

May he remain the pillar of the upright faith,

The pillar of the straight religion still stands

And forever a champion of Islam’s Sunnah,

And the path of Islam always has its supporter

ما الفتح وافى مادحيه أَوَّلاً

ما الفتح وافى مادحيه أَوَّلاً

والختم بالحسنى حباهم آخِرا

والختم بالحسنى حباهم آخِرا

As long as victory first comes to those who praise him,

What glory first came to praise him

And the ending bestows goodness upon them at last.

And the end with good concluded blessing them last
