وزال عنّي من حجاب بيني شخص الدليل

A beautiful face appeared to my eye in the mirror of my eye.

A beautiful face appeared to my eyes in the mirror of my eyes

And the guide's form vanished from me, from the veil of my separation.

And the veil between us disappeared, along with the guide

فردٌ بدا بنغمة المثاني يشفي العليل

فردٌ بدا بنغمة المثاني يشفي العليل

باقي لنا وما عداه فاني عاني ذليل

باقي لنا وما عداه فاني عاني ذليل

The One appeared in the melody of the oft-repeated verses, healing the ailing.

A unique being appeared with melodious verses, healing the sick

He endures for us; all besides Him is perishing, captive, abased.

Remaining for us, while all else is fleeting, suffering humiliation

فاشهد ضياء وحدة الوجود في كلّ جيل

فاشهد ضياء وحدة الوجود في كلّ جيل

واترك مقال المنكر الجحود فهو الدخيل

واترك مقال المنكر الجحود فهو الدخيل

So behold the radiance of the unity of being in every generation.

So witness the light of oneness of existence in every generation

And leave aside the obstinate denier's words, for he is an intruder.

And leave the words of the denier, the intruder

واسلك مجاز الشرع والحقيقه فهو السبيل

واسلك مجاز الشرع والحقيقه فهو السبيل

تظفر بكلّ حرّةٍ رقيقه بلا مثيل

تظفر بكلّ حرّةٍ رقيقه بلا مثيل

And tread the passage of sacred law and Reality, for it is the way.

And follow the path of Divine Law and Truth, for that is the way

You will win every freeborn, delicate woman without equal.

You will attain every gentle, unique freedom

وانهض لمحو سائر الرسوم يا ذا الخليل

وانهض لمحو سائر الرسوم يا ذا الخليل

تجد لظى فؤادك الكليم نار الخليل

تجد لظى فؤادك الكليم نار الخليل

And rise to efface all forms, O dear friend.

And arise to erase all forms, O intimate friend

You will find the blaze of your wounded heart to be the fire of the Friend.

You will find your heart soothed, the fire of the intimate friend

وحيّ بالصلاة والتسليم طه الدليل

وحيّ بالصلاة والتسليم طه الدليل

تُسقَى به سلافة التسنيم كالسلسبيل

تُسقَى به سلافة التسنيم كالسلسبيل

And salute Taha, the guide, with blessings and salutations of peace.

And be inspired with prayers and peace upon Taha, the guide

Through him you will be given the choicest wine of Tasnim to drink, like Salsabil.

You will be quenched by it like gentle rain pouring down

وآله وصحبه الكرام كهف النزيل

وآله وصحبه الكرام كهف النزيل

ما جاء يرجو الحسن للختام صبٌّ عليل

ما جاء يرجو الحسن للختام صبٌّ عليل

And his family and his noble companions, the guest's refuge,

And his family and noble companions are like a shelter for the weary traveler

Whenever an ailing, ardent lover comes hoping for a good end.

He who hopes for a good conclusion, though weak, pours out
