بأيّ بديعٍ أم بأيّ بلاغةٍ
أفوهI utter بحمدin praise of الذاتthe Essence فيin الوصفthe attribute والاسمِand the name
أفوه بحمد الذات في الوصف والاسمِ
With what rhetorical artistry, or with what eloquence,
With what elegance or what eloquence
can I voice praise of the Essence in attribute and name?
Shall I praise the Essence in name and attribute?
ولكنّهاbut it is عينيmy eye الّتيwhich كمhow often أرىI see بهاthrough it
ولكنّها عيني الّتي كم أرى بها
تجليmanifestation هباتيmy gifts لاحshone فيat البدءthe beginning والختمand the end
تجلي هباتي لاح في البدء والختم
Yet it is my eye, through which I so often see
Yet it is my eyes through which I see
the manifestation of my gifts, which shone at the beginning and the end.
The splendor of my gifts shine from start to finish.
