إذاwhen مرضناwe fall ill تداويناwe seek healing بذكركمُby remembering you
إذا مرضنا تداوينا بذكركمُ
ونتركand we abandon الذكرَremembrance أحياناًsometimes فننتكسُand so we relapse
ونترك الذكرَ أحياناً فننتكسُ
When we fall ill, we seek healing by remembering you.
When we are sick, we heal ourselves by remembering you,
And sometimes we abandon remembrance, and so we relapse.
And neglect that act sometimes, so we relapse.
وإنand if عزمناwe resolve علىupon تذكارremembering غيركمanyone other than you
وإن عزمنا على تذكار غيركم
لمnot نستطعwe could واعتراناand overcame us العيّinarticulacy والخرسُand muteness
لم نستطع واعترانا العيّ والخرسُ
And if we resolve to remember anyone other than you,
And if we decide to remember someone other than you,
We cannot, and inarticulacy and muteness overcome us.
We can't, as deafness and muteness befall us.
