يا ميت الحبّ في العشّاق أنت الحيّ
إنif جزتyou pass عربArabs النقاthe sand dune سلمoffer greetings وحيِّand salute الحيّthe clan
إن جزت عرب النقا سلم وحيِّ الحيّ
O you who have died of love, among lovers you are the living one.
O you who died of love among lovers, you are alive
If you pass the Arabs of the sand dune, offer greetings and salute the clan.
If you passed by the pure Arabs, say peace and greet the living
وإنand if سمعتyou hear الحبيبthe beloved ناديcall out وأذِّنْand proclaim the call حيcome
وإن سمعت الحبيب نادي وأذِّنْ حي
علىto اللقاthe meeting قمrise وقلand say ياO حيliving one أنتyou الحيthe living one
على اللقا قم وقل يا حي أنت الحي
And if you hear the beloved, call out and proclaim: “Come
And if you heard the lover calling, announce alive
to the meeting!” Rise and say, “O living one, you are the living one.”
Rise for the meeting and say, O living one, you are alive
