وَماand not زالَتِceased الأَقدارُthe fates حَتّىuntil قَذَفنَنيthey cast me
وَما زالَتِ الأَقدارُ حَتّى قَذَفنَني
بِقومِسَin Qumis بَينَbetween الفَرَّجانِal-Farrajan وُصولُand Sul
بِقومِسَ بَينَ الفَرَّجانِ وُصولُ
And the fates did not cease until they cast me
The fates have continued until they flung me
into Qumis, between al-Farrajan and Sul.
To Qawmis between Farraj and Wusul
إِلىto اللَهِGod أَشكوI complain إِلىto الناسِthe people أَشتَكيI voice my grievance
إِلى اللَهِ أَشكو إِلى الناسِ أَشتَكي
بِقَومَسَat Qumis إِذwhile فيهاin it الشُراةُthe Shurat (Kharijites) حَلولُdwelling
بِقَومَسَ إِذ فيها الشُراةُ حَلولُ
To God I complain; to people I voice my grievance,
To God I complain, to people I moan
at Qumis, while the Shurat dwell there.
