وَلَفوكَand indeed your mouth أَشنَعُuglier حينَwhen تَنطُقُyou speak فاغِراًwith mouth agape
وَلَفوكَ أَشنَعُ حينَ تَنطُقُ فاغِراً
مَنthan فيthe mouth of قَريحٍa wounded person قَدalready أَصابَate بَريراarak berries
مَن في قَريحٍ قَد أَصابَ بَريرا
And indeed your mouth is uglier when you speak agape
When you speak with mouth agape, most ugly are you
than the mouth of a wounded person who has eaten arak berries.
Who with eloquence is gifted should not utter nonsense
