لَمdid not يَبقَremain شَيءٌanything يُسامُهُis made to face it أَحَدُanyone
لَم يَبقَ شَيءٌ يُسامُهُ أَحَدُ
إِلاexcept وَقَدand already ساماهُvied with him أَخوَتُناour brothers
إِلا وَقَد ساماهُ أَخوَتُنا
Nothing remains that anyone is called upon to face,
Nothing left that anyone accuses
but our brothers have already vied with him in it.
Except what our brothers have accused us of
فَوَجَدوناso they found us نَحميwe defend الذِّمارَwhat must be protected وَنَأand we refuse (word continues)
فَوَجَدونا نَحمي الذِّمارَ وَنَأ
بىcompletion of 'we refuse' الضَّيمَhumiliation أَنthat تُستَباحَbe violated حُرمَتُناour sanctity
بى الضَّيمَ أَن تُستَباحَ حُرمَتُنا
So they found us defending our honor and refusing
They found us defending dignity and refusing
the humiliation of having our sanctity violated.
The injustice of violating our sanctity
بِذاكَconcerning that أَوصىenjoined مِنfrom قَبلُbefore والِدُناour father
بِذاكَ أَوصى مِن قَبلُ والِدُنا
وَتِلكَand that أَيضاًalso غَداًtomorrow وَصِيَّتُناour testament
وَتِلكَ أَيضاً غَداً وَصِيَّتُنا
Our father enjoined this in times past,
That's what our father advised us before
and that, too, shall be our testament tomorrow.
And that will also be our advice tomorrow
