هَل تَرك عُيونهنَّ قَلبي يَرضى
وَالبَعضُand some لِسَقمهbecause of its sickness يدانيresembles البَعضاthe others
وَالبَعضُ لِسَقمه يداني البَعضا
Would my heart consent to forsaking their eyes?
Will their eyes ever leave my heart satisfied?
And some, in their sickness, resemble the others.
Some are close to others in their sickness.
كادَتalmost لَحظاتُهنَّtheir glances تمليdictate وَحياًrevelation
كادَت لَحظاتُهنَّ تملي وَحياً
لَوif رَقَّgrew tender قُلوبهُمtheir hearts لَعادواthey would have visited المَرضىthe sick
لَو رَقَّ قُلوبهُم لَعادوا المَرضى
Their glances almost dictated revelation.
Their glances almost inspire revelation,
If their hearts had softened, they would have visited the sick.
If only their hearts would soften, the sick would be healed.
