Why am I enamored of a radiant one who gleams,
Who laments love’s burning pains amid the gathering?
ياO وَيليَmy woe قَدindeed أَحرَقَنيhas burned me ذوone with حُرَقٍburning anguish

Woe is me! One aflame with anguish has indeed burned me;
My plight is but that of a moth at the candle.
