قَلبٌ أَبَدا تَهيجُه الأَحزانُ
Where the sand gathered and the bān trees swayed,
Where the sands gather and the tears flow
There is a heart forever stirred by sorrows.
A heart forever stirred by sorrows
ماwhat ضَرَّharmed خدودَهمtheir cheeks وَعَينيand my eye عَبرىtearful
ما ضَرَّ خدودَهم وَعَيني عَبرى
لَوif جُمِّعَتِwere brought together الرِياضُthe gardens وَالغُدرانُand the pools
لَو جُمِّعَتِ الرِياضُ وَالغُدرانُ
What harm would it do their cheeks and my tearful eye,
No harm to their cheeks, though my eyes weep
If the gardens and pools were brought together?
Were the meadows and valleys joined as one
