لا بُدَّ عَلى الحَبيب يَوماً أَرِدُ
Throughout time, I promise my soul a meeting with you.
To see you again through time my soul prepares
One day I must come to the beloved.
I must the beloved one day meet unawares
نَفسٌa soul أَلفَتhas grown accustomed to قُيودَهاits fetters جامعَةًbinding together
نَفسٌ أَلفَت قُيودَها جامعَةً
مِنfrom أَينَwhere عَنconcerning الخَلاصِdeliverance روحاًrelief تَجِدُit finds
مِن أَينَ عَن الخَلاصِ روحاً تَجِدُ
A soul that has grown accustomed to its binding fetters—
A soul accustomed to its shackles all
how can it find relief in deliverance?
