She rose, then turned back my reins in anger,
She rose, then bent down, leaning on her staff,
choosing to remain in the town rather than part.
Preferring to stay in her homeland,
غَلَّضتُI made solemn لَهاto her اليَمينَthe oath لاnot أَتركهاI leave her
غَلَّضتُ لَها اليَمينَ لا أَتركها
ماas long as ساعَدَنيaided me اليَسارُprosperity واِمتَدَّand extended يَديmy hand
ما ساعَدَني اليَسارُ واِمتَدَّ يَدي
I solemnly swore to her that I would not leave her,
I nodded in agreement with her, I won't abandon her,
as long as prosperity aided me and my hand could reach.
Even when my left hand assists me, and my right hand stretches out
