جاءَتنيَshe came to me فيin مَشيَتِهاher walk تَختالُstrutting proudly
جاءَتنيَ في مَشيَتِها تَختالُ
حَتّىuntil اتُّهمَتshe was suspected بيof involvement with me وَفَشاand spread ماwhat قالواthey said
حَتّى اتُّهمَت بي وَفَشا ما قالوا
She came to me, strutting proudly as she walked,
She came to me in her own fashion, swaying
Until she was suspected of involvement with me, and what they said spread.
Until they accused me, spreading what they said.
ماnot استُحسِنَwas deemed pleasing وَاللَهِby God كَحاليlike my lot حالُa lot
ما استُحسِنَ وَاللَهِ كَحالي حالُ
إِنif كانَit is كَماas يَزعمُهُthey claim it to be العُذّالُthe reproachers
إِن كانَ كَما يَزعمُهُ العُذّالُ
By God, no lot has been deemed as pleasing as mine,
By God, my state was never judged as right.
If it is as the reproachers claim.
If it's as the slanderers claim, they're lying.
