O splendor of a nubile virgin's cheek!
O beauty of a virgin's cheek, unblemished,
She was not excused from drinking when she asked to be spared.
You did not excuse drinking at the time of absolution,

They wed the vine's milk to her saliva,
They carried the wine of generosity to her saliva,
and union is deemed fitting for equals.
And connection is deemed good for the worthy.
