ماno مثليَlike me فيin الوجودexistence عَبدٌa servant خاطِsinful
ما مثليَ في الوجود عَبدٌ خاطِ
ساهٍheedless سَدِمٌremorseful بغيرwithout نوطٍsomething hanging عاطِreaching out
ساهٍ سَدِمٌ بغير نوطٍ عاطِ
No sinful servant in existence is like me.
None in existence is like me, a forgetful slave
Heedless and remorseful, reaching with nothing to grasp.
Neglectful, whose belt is not straight
ياO رَبِّmy Lord عَلىupon الصِراطthe Path ثَبِّتmake firm قَدَميmy foot
يا رَبِّ عَلى الصِراط ثَبِّت قَدَمي
إِنّيindeed I بمزلَّةٍon slippery ground برجليwith my foot واطِtreading
إِنّي بمزلَّةٍ برجلي واطِ
O my Lord, steady my foot upon the Path.
O Lord, make my feet steadfast on the path
Indeed, I tread with my foot on slippery ground.
Indeed my feet make me stumble and fall
