فيin قَلبيَmy heart لامتدادbecause of the lengthening of لَيليmy night وَهنُweakness
في قَلبيَ لامتداد لَيلي وَهنُ
فيin بيعيَmy selling نَوميmy sleep بسهاديfor my sleeplessness غبنُloss in an unfair bargain
في بيعيَ نَومي بسهادي غبنُ
My heart is weak from the lengthening of my night.
In my heart extends the night's languor and frailty
In selling my sleep for my sleeplessness, I am shortchanged.
In my bargain I sold my sleep for loss
فيin شَرعthe law of هَواكُمُlove for you القَضاياthe rulings عُكِسَتhave been reversed
في شَرع هَواكُمُ القَضايا عُكِسَت
فالدَينُso the debt عَلَيكُمowed by you وَقَلبيand my heart رَهنُa pledge
فالدَينُ عَلَيكُم وَقَلبي رَهنُ
Under the law of love for you, the rulings have been reversed.
By your passions' decree things are reversed
So the debt is yours to pay, yet my heart is held in pledge.
So my heart's in pawn and the debt's on you
