In sobriety and in drunkenness, my solace is in you.
In sobriety and in drunkenness, you are my consolation,
I have not taken the cup's saliva in place of yours.
I have never turned away from your path, though cups pass my way.

Love's intoxication never leaves my head,
The exhilaration of passion does not leave my head,
So long as fine wine stirs in a drinker's flanks.
No string of pearls has shaken on my forearm.
