إِن ينفسدِ الكَونُ فَفي التَركيبِ
لِلنفسfor the soul كَمالٌperfection لكfor you بِالتَهذيبِthrough refinement
لِلنفس كَمالٌ لك بِالتَهذيبِ
If the world decays, then in its composition
If the universe becomes corrupted, therein lies
your soul finds perfection through refinement.
Perfection for the soul through your refinement.
إِنif تَبنِyou build لِفَتحِfor conquering بَلدَةٍa town أَبنيَةًstructures
إِن تَبنِ لِفَتحِ بَلدَةٍ أَبنيَةً
عَرَّضتَyou exposed لَدىupon الفَراغcompletion لِلتَخريبِto destruction
عَرَّضتَ لَدى الفَراغ لِلتَخريبِ
If you build structures to conquer a town,
If for conquering a city you erect buildings,
you expose them to destruction when you are done.
You expose them to destruction by emptiness.
