If its drink has not quenched my burning thirst,
None but he whose cup my Jar has emptied
then al-Kawthar's drink comes from the remnants of my cup.
Can taste the nectar I have drunk.
ليfor me فيin دمthe blood of قِرنيmy rival التَشَفّيvengeful satisfaction وَأَرىand I see fit

أَن أَسقيَ مَسلولَ حُسامي شربَه
In my rival's blood I find vengeful satisfaction, and I see fit
In my spear's blood will I find sweet balm,
to give my sword's unsheathed blade its draught.
And water my keen sword from out his life-stream's flood.
