I girded myself for union with her in the time of fear.
I spread my sleeves to reach her, though fear's reign lasted long
With love’s hand I turn back the reins of fear.
With hand of yearning, I pulled at fear's rein, and made it go along

She said, “And did you not fear the one I dread?”
She said, "Or haven't you feared him whom you should fear?" I replied,
I said, “Longing has usurped the place of fear.”
"Passion has seized the place of fear and stationed itself beside."
