قَلبٌ عَلِقت بِهِ يَدا مُحرِزِهِ
I do not know—and in its center has not settled
I could not tell where the heart that my hands protected
A heart to which its possessor's two hands have clung—
Had settled in its place,
فيin حَيِّزthe domain of قَلبيَmy heart الَّذيwhich يَملكُهُhe owns it
في حَيِّز قَلبيَ الَّذي يَملكُهُ
أَمor قَلبيmy heart عندهwith him وَفيand in حَيِّزِهِhis domain
أَم قَلبي عنده وَفي حَيِّزِهِ
Whether he is within my heart's domain, which he owns,
Whether it was in the space my heart possessed
Or my heart is with him and within his domain.
Or my heart was with it, and in its place.
