God be praised for the little breeze that traveled by night from Najd,
A breeze from Najd has come to me,
Sorrowful, it speaks to me and soothes my yearning:
A yearning one, that soothes and cools my inner flame,

The bearer of Joseph’s shirt journeyed with it by night,
Bearing Joseph's shirt, that very one,
Offering it to Jacob—so will he ask for a gift?
To give to Jacob, if he asks and guidance claims.
