Why did my reproachers deem my passion a fault?
I disapprove of them, but not of beauties for disdaining gray hair.
فاهوthey spoke فَتَقَمَّصتُso I clothed myself مَلالاًweariness منهمof them

They spoke, and I clothed myself in weariness of them;
Had what was said been prolonged, I would have torn my collar.
