لِلخيمَة قَوَّضوا لَدى التَطنيبِ
Why has Khayyam persisted in reproach?
They dismantled the tent even as its guy ropes were being stretched.
لاno بُدَّescape لذيfor the owner of الخيامِthe tents أَنto يَقلَعهاhe pulls them up
لا بُدَّ لذي الخيامِ أَن يَقلَعها
مَهماhowever much حفرdug الجُيوشُthe armies لِلتَشريبِto provide water
مَهما حفر الجُيوشُ لِلتَشريبِ
The owner of tents must pull them up,
However much the armies have dug to provide water.
