O heart, you have clung to his twisted tress.
Rise in the darkness and call to her, shackled.
أَصداغُكyour sidelocks فيin الهَجرِseparation أَطالَتhave lengthened لَيليmy night
ياO رَبّيَmy Lord جُنحَthe darkness of لَيلِهاher night زِدincrease طولاin length
Your sidelocks have lengthened my night in separation.
O my Lord, make the darkness of her night longer.
