خاصَمتُ حَبيبي فَأَتَيتُ الحَكما

لا أَعرِفُ مَيلَه إِلى مَن ظَلَما

I argued with my beloved so I went to the judge

I don't know whose side he leans to, who was wronged

فاِعتَدَّ بخطِّ شاهِدٍ زَوَّرَهُ

مَع طعنيَ فيهِ كادَ يُجري القَلَما
