في النَّظمِ عَقَدتُ رايَةَ الإِبداعِ

في النَّظمِ عَقَدتُ رايَةَ الإِبداعِ

مَن نازَعَني اِرتَدَّ قَصيرَ الباعِ

مَن نازَعَني اِرتَدَّ قَصيرَ الباعِ

In verse I have raised the banner of creativity.

Whoever challenges me retreats, his reach too short.

أَلفاظيَ خِفَّةً عَلى الأَسماعِ

أَلفاظيَ خِفَّةً عَلى الأَسماعِ

تَستَوقِف بالقَفر ظِباءَ القاعِ

تَستَوقِف بالقَفر ظِباءَ القاعِ

My words, so light upon the ear,

Bring the gazelles of the plain to a halt in the wilderness.
