لا تَرجُ تَغلُّبَ الوَحيدِ الفَردِ
واغلبand prevail بكماةٍwith warriors نَهَضواrose up فيin السَردِchain mail
واغلب بكماةٍ نَهَضوا في السَردِ
Do not hope for the triumph of the lone individual.
And prevail with warriors who rose in chain mail.
فيin الشَوكَةِthe thorn أَطرافُthe points of رِماحspears نَفذتpierced through
في الشَوكَةِ أَطرافُ رِماح نَفذت
كَيso that يعقدَmay fashion تيجانcrowns نُضارِthe pure gold of الوَردِthe rose
كَي يعقدَ تيجان نُضارِ الوَردِ
In the thorn, spearheads have thrust through
to fashion crowns of the rose's pure gold.
