كُفّوا عَذلي فَلَومُكُم إِغراءُ

كُفّوا عَذلي فَلَومُكُم إِغراءُ

وَالنُصحُ بِمَنصِب الهَوى إِزراءُ

وَالنُصحُ بِمَنصِب الهَوى إِزراءُ

Refrain from reproaching me—for your reproach only spurs me on;

Cease reproaching me, for your blame is incitement.

and counsel at the station of love is an affront.

And counsel is a disparagement of love's station.

في لَيلِ هَوايَ مجتَلاها صُبحي

في لَيلِ هَوايَ مجتَلاها صُبحي

وَالصُبحُ لَدَيهِ يُحمَدُ الإِسراءُ

وَالصُبحُ لَدَيهِ يُحمَدُ الإِسراءُ

In the night of my passion, her radiant manifestation is my dawn;

In the night of my love, the sight of her is my dawn.

and with such a dawn, night journeying is praised.

And at dawn, the night journey is praised.
