بانوا فَبَقيتُ بعدهم في كَمَدي

بانوا فَبَقيتُ بعدهم في كَمَدي

يَنضَمُّ إِلى يَوميَ في الحُزنِ غدي

يَنضَمُّ إِلى يَوميَ في الحُزنِ غدي

They departed, so I remained after them in my grief.

My tomorrow joins my today in sorrow.

لا فُسحَةَ لِلرَجاءِ مِن بعدهم

لا فُسحَةَ لِلرَجاءِ مِن بعدهم

إِذ ضاقَ مَجالي وَفُؤادي وَيَدي

إِذ ضاقَ مَجالي وَفُؤادي وَيَدي

There is no room for hope after them,

For my scope, my heart, and my hand have narrowed.
