I turned toward life, cooing to the houris,
I came to living asking the maidens for wine
Seeking light from the radiance of my cup.
I seek from my cup's radiance a light

My beloved’s gaze sees me only
My love's eyes see me only
Tipsy like his eyes, or drunk.
Happy like his gaze or drunk
