لاnot العَقلُthe intellect يَحُدُّsets bounds to بِالتَناهيby finitude فرعَكyour tresses
لا العَقلُ يَحُدُّ بِالتَناهي فرعَك
Ambergris does not rival your tresses in fragrance.
Neither ambergris competes with your fragrance
The intellect cannot set finite bounds to your tresses.
Nor does the mind limit your boundlessness
ماnot مُختَصَرa brief account كفَّيكyour two palms ذوpossessing فائدَةٍbenefit
ما مُختَصَر كفَّيك ذو فائدَةٍ
ماnot كادَnearly did مُطَوَّلٌa lengthy work يُضاهيrivals فرعَكyour tresses
ما كادَ مُطَوَّلٌ يُضاهي فرعَك
A brief account of your two palms is of no benefit.
Not even a summary of your palm is beneficial
A lengthy work could scarcely rival your tresses.
Nor can elaboration rival your elegance
