قَدindeed حَرَّكَstirred ساكنَthe stillness of اِشتياقيmy longing لثمُa kiss
قَد حَرَّكَ ساكنَ اِشتياقي لثمُ
إِذfor كَسرُكَyour lowering ناظرَيكyour two eyes وَعدٌa promise جزمُfirm
إِذ كَسرُكَ ناظرَيك وَعدٌ جزمُ
A kiss has stirred my dormant longing.
My yearning stirs though once at rest
For lowering your eyes is a firm promise.
When your gaze promises with certitude
مِنfrom فيكَyour mouth يجرُّbrings about خَفضَthe ease of عَيشيmy life فَتحٌan opening
مِن فيكَ يجرُّ خَفضَ عَيشي فَتحٌ
بِالحُجبِthrough the veils رفعتlifted نصبُthe weariness of عينيmy eyes ضَمُّan embrace
بِالحُجبِ رفعت نصبُ عيني ضَمُّ
An opening of your mouth brings ease to my life.
In you lies mine existence’s fall and rise
Through the veils, an embrace lifted the weariness of my eyes.
My eyes raised by the veil's occlusion
