1. نادانيَ مِن جانِبِ طُور العِشقِ

    فاِشتَقتُ إِلى ساكِن دورِ العِشقِ

    He called to me from the side of love’s Sinai.

    So I yearned for the dweller in the abodes of love.

  2. إِذ قُلتُ وَمَن يوصِلُني نَحوَكُم

    قالوا اِهتَدِ نَحوَنا بِنار العِشقِ

    When I said, “And who will bring me to you?”

    They said, “Find your way toward us by the fire of love.”
