لَوif حَلَّuntied لِجَيبِهاat her neckline بَنانيmy fingertips عُقدَهa knot
لَو حَلَّ لِجَيبِها بَناني عُقدَه
لَمnot يَعتورِbeset الدَهرَever جَنانيmy heart عُقدَهa knot
لَم يَعتورِ الدَهرَ جَناني عُقدَه
If my fingertips untied a knot at her neckline,
If only the knots in her dress were undone by my fingers,
No knot would ever beset my heart.
My life would not have been tied in knots.
مِنfrom أَينَwhere أَحلُّهاI untie it وَلَوand even if لاقَتنيshe met me
مِن أَينَ أَحلُّها وَلَو لاقَتني
ماnot اِنحَلَّcame undone حَياءًout of shyness لِلِسانيfor my tongue عُقدَهa knot
ما اِنحَلَّ حَياءً لِلِساني عُقدَه
How could I untie it? Even if she met me,
How can I untie them when she won't even look at me?
Shyness would keep the knot in my tongue tied.
Modesty has tied a knot on my tongue that cannot be undone.
