باللَهِby God عَليكI beseech you قلsay لهto him اِستِعطافاseeking compassion
باللَهِ عَليك قل له اِستِعطافا
أَنجِزfulfill عِدَتيthe promise made to me وَعَجِّلِand hasten الإِسعافاthe aid
أَنجِز عِدَتي وَعَجِّلِ الإِسعافا
By God, I beg you, say to him, seeking his compassion:
I implore you, tell him with pleading
Fulfill your promise to me, and hasten your aid.
Complete my gear and hasten the aid
ذاthis الناظِرُthe eye منكfrom you حَظَّهits share ماnot استَوفىhas received in full
ذا الناظِرُ منك حَظَّه ما استَوفى
مَكِّنهُgive it leave وَدَعand abandon فيin الخُلُقِconduct الإِسرافاexcess
مَكِّنهُ وَدَع في الخُلُقِ الإِسرافا
This eye has not received its full share of you;
He whose fate's glance from you is not fulfilled
Give it leave, and abandon excess in your conduct.
Empower him and forgo excess in character
