واِختارَ إِلَيكُمُ اِنجِذابي قَلبي

I said, on the morning my heart revealed what was within me,

I have said one morning, while voicing what was in my heart,

and my heart chose that I be drawn toward you:

And my heart chose to be drawn towards you all,

خُذ من نُكَت الغَرام ما أَورَدهُ

في شَرح مَسائل التَصابي قَلبي

في شَرح مَسائل التَصابي قَلبي

Take from love’s subtleties what was set forth

Take from the subtleties of love what it has set forth

by my heart in explaining the questions of youthful dalliance.
