وإلى مقامك قد انيت مبادرا
My lord, I have come to you seeking your gracious favor.
My Master, I come to you desiring your good pleasure,
And to your presence I have come in haste.
And to your abode I hasten as a pilgrim.

من سايل الا ورُجَع شاكرا
O Kaaba of generosity, which has never been visited on pilgrimage
O Kaaba of generosity, which none can circle
By any supplicant who did not return grateful.
Save that he returns, thankful and grateful.

طرًّا وطلقت الجميع مهاجرا
When I chose renunciation, I parted from humankind,
When you abandoned worldliness, you showed the true path,
One and all, and divorced them all as I departed.
Deserting all, a wanderer, an emigrant.

فوددت أن اقضي الحيوة مجاورا
And I saw that your sanctuary was the noblest abode,
And you saw that to be under your protection was noblest,
So I wished to spend my life dwelling beside you.
So I wished to spend my life in your vicinity.
