بلثم أنامل المولى المرجى

علي الشان قد طبت انشراحاً

علي الشان قد طبت انشراحاً

By kissing the fingertips of the lord in whom hope is placed,

I kiss the fingers of my Lord, the Desired One,

exalted in rank, I was indeed filled with delight.

Upon my condition, which has healed and expanded.

ومصباح المحاسن نجم صبح

ومصباح المحاسن نجم صبح

نعمت بنور طلعته اصطباحا

نعمت بنور طلعته اصطباحا

And the lamp of graces, a star of dawn—

The lantern of beauty, the morning star,

I savored the light of his countenance as a morning draught.

Has blessed me with the light of its dawn.

فتى لا بدع أن ضاهى اباه

فتى لا بدع أن ضاهى اباه

بحسن الخلق واعتز امتداحا

بحسن الخلق واعتز امتداحا

A youth—no wonder he matched his father

A youth who must resemble his father,

in fine character and gained honor through praise.

With excellent character and much praise.
