أنابيب الزلال العذب فاضت

أنابيب الزلال العذب فاضت

فردها أيها الظمآن فورا

فردها أيها الظمآن فورا

The pipes of sweet, limpid water have overflowed.

The pipes of fresh water overflowed

So come to them at once, O thirsty one.

Quench your thirst, o thirsty one, quickly

وصل أوفى دعاء مستديما

وصل أوفى دعاء مستديما

لا حسان الحسين وكن شكورا

لا حسان الحسين وكن شكورا

And continually offer the fullest prayer

Send the most sincere prayer continuously

For al-Husayn's kindness, and be grateful.

To the benevolent al-Husayn, and be grateful

همامٌ في سبيل الله أنشي

همامٌ في سبيل الله أنشي

سبيلاً فيه قد غنم الاجورا

سبيلاً فيه قد غنم الاجورا

A magnanimous man, in the path of God, has built

Be determined in the cause of God

A public drinking fountain, through which he has earned rewards.

On a path in which the rewards are gained

فارّخ جاء بنوا كرام قوم

فارّخ جاء بنوا كرام قوم

سقاهم ربهم كاسا طهورا

سقاهم ربهم كاسا طهورا

So record the date: 'The sons of noble folk have come;

So the noble sons of honorable people came

Their Lord gave them a cup of pure drink.'

Their Lord quenched them with a purifying cup
