For those who traverse the valleys
Gently—for they have carried nothing but my heart.
Gently, bearing naught but my heart

باعت سهاد جفونها برقادي
She departed without turning back, as though her radiance
They walked on, never looking back
had traded her eyelids’ sleeplessness for my slumber.
Her glow sold the sleep of my eyelids

They walked on, I provisioned them with my tears
And tears are the best provision for loved ones.
Tears are the best gift for loved ones

That you heed not the envious' lies

No feast so lights my heart
