تَدَثَّرwrap yourself بالصَوابِin right conduct تَنَلyou will attain ثَواباًa reward
تَدَثَّر بالصَوابِ تَنَل ثَواباً
منfrom الرحمنِthe All-Merciful فَهوَfor it is أَبَرُّmost virtuous ثَوبِgarment
من الرحمنِ فَهوَ أَبَرُّ ثَوبِ
Wrap yourself in right conduct, and you will earn a reward
Wrapped in righteousness you will gain reward
From the All-Merciful, for it is the most virtuous garment.
From the Merciful, for it is the finest garb
أَلَاbehold إنَّindeed الأنامَhumankind بِلاwithout صَوَابٍright conduct
أَلَا إنَّ الأنامَ بِلا صَوَابٍ
كإِطباقِlike the covering الغَمامِthe clouds بغيرِwithout صَوبِrain
كإِطباقِ الغَمامِ بغيرِ صَوبِ
Behold, humankind without right conduct
Lo! Mankind without righteousness
Is like a covering of clouds without rain.
