أَشَرُّthe worst رئيسٍleader مَنone who أَضَلَّleads astray بحِزبِهِwith his party
أَشَرُّ رئيسٍ مَن أَضَلَّ بحِزبِهِ
لحُبِّfor love of الهداياgifts فَهوَso he يُهديhe gives gifts ويستهديand he seeks gifts
لحُبِّ الهدايا فَهوَ يُهدي ويستهدي
The worst leader is one who leads his party astray
The worst of leaders is he who leads his party astray
For love of gifts; so he gives gifts and seeks gifts.
Out of love for gifts, so he gives and is guided
وخيرُand the best رئيسِleader مبتغٍseeking خيرَwelfare شعبِهِhis people
وخيرُ رئيسِ مبتغٍ خيرَ شعبِهِ
إِطاعةَin obedience to مولاهُhis Lord فيَهدِيso he guides ويستهديand he seeks guidance
إِطاعةَ مولاهُ فيَهدِي ويستهدي
And the best leader is one who seeks his people's good
Yet the best leader seeks the good of his nation
In obedience to his Lord; so he guides and seeks guidance.
By obeying his Lord, so he guides and is guided
