يا ذا الذي من جودهِ
بالوعدِto the promise حقّاًtruly قدmay يفيhe fulfills
بالوعدِ حقّاً قد يفي
O you who, out of your generosity,
O you whose promise of generosity
may truly keep the promise,
Is truly fulfilled as pledged
ماذاwhat يُضاهيrivals القولَthe words عمَّنabout one who
ماذا يُضاهي القولَ عمَّن
فيin الحِجَىthe mind كَمَنَlay hidden اكفُفِdesist
في الحِجَى كَمَنَ اكفُفِ
what rivals the words about one
Who can match in speech the one
who lay hidden in the mind? Desist!
Who in dire need acts with restraint
