قد صاغهُ بالحُسنِ احسنُ صائغِ
How noble a newborn of the noblest father!
He was born noble, though no noble father begot him,
The finest goldsmith has indeed fashioned him with beauty.
For the best of molders molded him in beauty sublime.

So how great is what I reckoned in his chronogram,
Therefore I magnify, in the date of his birth,
in value, for Antoun, son of Musa al-Sa’igh!
A worth unmatched by any save Musa the craftsman.
