لاnot يُعجِزُrenders powerless اللَهَGod كونٌexistence دونwithout عِلَّتهِits cause
لا يُعجِزُ اللَهَ كونٌ دون عِلَّتهِ
هوHe البديعُthe Originator البراياcreated beings عِلَّةُcause العِلَلِthe causes
هو البديعُ البرايا عِلَّةُ العِلَلِ
Existence without its cause is not beyond God's power.
No power can make God helpless
He is the Originator of creatures, the Cause of causes.
For He is the Maker of all things and their Maker too
قدalready ضَمَّenclosed فيwithin طَرَفَيهِits two ends عِلَّةًa cause سَبَقَتcame before
قد ضَمَّ في طَرَفَيهِ عِلَّةً سَبَقَت
ولوand if أَرادَHe willed لأَفناهاHe would annihilate it بلاwithout عِلَلِcauses
ولو أَرادَ لأَفناها بلا عِلَلِ
It holds within its two ends a cause that came before.
On either side of Him is a cause that came before
And if He willed, He would annihilate it without causes.
And if He willed, He could destroy it, causeless, out of the blue
