صدَعَ المَنَى صدرَ المآثر في الوَرَى

صدَعَ المَنَى صدرَ المآثر في الوَرَى

فلتبكهِ لا صخرها الخنساءُ

فلتبكهِ لا صخرها الخنساءُ

Death has cleft the breast of glorious deeds among humankind.

The abode of desires has split open the chest of glories in the land

So let al-Khansa weep for him, not for her Sakhr.

So let not its rocks mourn it, al-Khansa'

ولقد قضى الشرفُ الذي تاريخهُ

ولقد قضى الشرفُ الذي تاريخهُ

بالحاح صخر الخازني سيماءُ

بالحاح صخر الخازني سيماءُ

And honor has indeed died; its chronogram reads:

And indeed the honor, whose history

“With insistence, Sakhr al-Khazini is a sign.”

Insistently adorned the rock of al-Khazini, has passed
