وإذاand when شعرناwe are aware بالخطيةِof sin باطناًinwardly
وإذا شعرنا بالخطيةِ باطناً
فبكلthen of every رُزءmisfortune خارجٍoutward لاnot نَشعُرُwe are aware
فبكل رُزء خارجٍ لا نَشعُرُ
And when we are inwardly aware of sin,
Then we feel no outward misfortune.
وإذاand when تذكرناwe recall مآثمناour sins التيwhich
وإذا تذكرنا مآثمنا التي
عَظُمَتare grave فإِثمَthen the sin of قريبناour neighbor لاnot نَذكُرُwe mention
عَظُمَت فإِثمَ قريبنا لا نَذكُرُ
And when we recall our sins, which
Are grave, we do not mention our neighbor’s sin.
