وسائل ما تقول الآنَ في زَمَني

أجبتُ ان كنتَ لم تَصلُح بهِ فَسُدَى

أجبتُ ان كنتَ لم تَصلُح بهِ فَسُدَى

And someone asked: “What do you say now of my time?”

What will you say now in my time

I replied: “If you have not been upright in it, then it is wasted.

I answered if you did not improve it, it would be corrupted

هذا زمانُكَ موضوعُ الغيارِ فإن

هذا زمانُكَ موضوعُ الغيارِ فإن

تُصلِحهُ يَصلُح وان أَفسدتَهُ فَسُدا

تُصلِحهُ يَصلُح وان أَفسدتَهُ فَسُدا

This is your time, subject to change; so if

This is your time, the subject of zeal, so if

you set it right, it becomes right; and if you corrupt it, it becomes corrupt.”

You improve it, it will be improved, and if you corrupt it, it will be corrupted
